whoa this is amazing! so is that overkill do you think for a 164 foot fence? Is it where the more linear feet you add, the more juice you need or is the length irrelevant?

I got the one that is powered by an energizer and grounder. I also got a tester that rates how much electricity is coursing through it. Do you know of other electric fence options that might be better? I can always return this one if I don't open it

oh cool idea! I emailed the company to ask if you can turn it on and off and that will be another great question! I think we have an invisible fence that we barely ever use that runs around the coop/run so I might just take their collars and wave them over the line and put flags to remind them...

okay thanks - Iended up going with Starkline's kit for electric netting. It comes with a ground and 164 feet of netting and an energizer so I am hoping that will be okay

I decided on electric netting. It is 48 inches high. I guess I am going to have to use the flags I have from training them on the invisible fence and train them not to go near it.
