Yeah... I currently have a Pekin drake that has bumble foot -- I just removed the infection yesterday and he's doing really good. :)

Hi! :frow Sorry about that, most of it's just me and Sophia chatting. :P I cut a piece of a sterile antibacterial pad and put it on the wound, then I just rapped it with gauze starting at the ankle, then went in between one of the toes and back around the ankle, then the other toe, then straight...
I just noticed the chickens! They're so cute. :)
I trained mine to come by calling out "chickens" or "duckies" in the the same toon while I have the feeder. They come runin when I call them. I have them trained to go in at night too. :)
Yay!!!! :D
I have some pretty exciting news too! Our neighbor gave us 14 day old baby keets yesterday!!! :celebrate They're so adorable! I've been taking care of a little one that hobbles around on one foot. Still trying to figure out what's wrong. Been giving her extra vitamins and her feet...
Don't worry, I will. Just wait and see. ;) I haven't really talked about too much, so they don't say no right away.
It's sooo hot out here!!! I nearly died out there when I was taking care of the flock! :P
Ahhh, awesome! I should do that too, and just keep a few. How did you get that many eggs from two ducks without the embryos dying? I'm really surprised you have broody Pekins, and I think that's so cool!
Yeah, I will probably hatch some in a few weeks. But since the ducks aren't as consistent as the chickens, I'll just put some under one of my hens. You're hatching some too? That's awesome! How many? How'd you convince your parents? I'm still working on that.
No way! Two of my duckies are broody and sitting in the same nest box too!!! They started doing that just a few days ago. :barnie Goldie and Diamond really want to be mommys! :lau It's so funny how you and I, or our duckies mirror each other with a lot of things! Wouldn't you agree?
I'm using a solar light from the dollar tree for lighting in my coop at night. I charge it up in the sun during the day, then put it in the coop at night. They get really scared without a light, and the chickens fly into the walls when they try to get to their perches because they can't see...
That's good. I'm glad she's doing better. Duke is walking a little better too. He hurt his foot about a week ago, and is healing faster than Flapper did. :)
