I actually had to give my last Yokohama pair away a few months ago when I had to leave town for a bit... I haven't been able to find anymore since... I'm glad to see the thread has been running well enough without me, though :)
Sad news guys......
My Yokohama pullet Juliet was culled today. She had mysteriously began to lose weight and was nothing but skin and bones. I'd had her eating scrambled eggs and water with duramycin just yesterday but today she seemed to lose her strength and will. When I attempted to hydrate...
Well, because of all this zoning BS I had to move all my birds to the garage, then we were told they wanted to inspect inside the house (what?!) so I had to move them to my boss' place. They were so mad about being in the garage and even madder about being oved again, but are now SO HAPPY on my...
OMG the babies are precious! You can see the black on some of their legs but I didn't see any extra toes (might have missed them) but you can see which 2 have definite crests. Look like little polish bumps. ME WANT!!!!!!

No, seriously, I wanna see pics of these. They sound so cool!
Those baby yokos are precious! I got some great shots of my birds today when I let them out to free range for a bit. I'll post them tomorrow as soon as I get them uploaded.
LoL, I'm pretty serious about sticking to this one. My original idea was calico silkies, but I've seen some project birds and they don't look so great. Gonna wait a few more years before I try to get in on that. I AM interested in this idea of frizzled and silkied yokohamas and long tailed...
So, I got an idea for this long tail serama idea. I wanna play with it some more in my head before I write it down here....
Anyone ever get any silkied yokos? My silkie roo is pretty interested in my female yoko but he's a patient man and will wait forever before he has his chance. He's a white...
The phoenix banties I had were about the size of a large silkie.
The serama coloring would be what I would worry about. Some people are finally getting certain serama colors to breed true but you still get a weirdo every once in awhile... I think breeding the red shouldered yokos with certain...
I really like that long tailed mini chicken idea... how would we go about that.... obviously cross breeding seramas for many generations with long tailed breeds....
