    I like the idea of zip ties actually. Easy to change or remove. I'd use the small ones. One question: Do you put them on tight? Well, not tight, but snug fitting? Or more loose, so they move around?

    Can you post a picture or link to the ones you are referring to? Please excuse my ignorance. I'm trying. And @CTKen, what about the plastic spiral ones? They seem like they would hold up better than the rubbery ones... but I do not know.

    I was considering getting some, as I am going to be adding to my chicks over the next few weeks.. and I'd like to be able to tell ages apart and also if I decide to try to tell certain ones within a breed apart.... What are the best ones to use?
