The petsmart I go to has only the males in cups now, I think, and the females in a tank all together. There's always a few dead ones in there. Bettas aren't always treated very well :(

Yeah, it's gross! I feel like buying the fish just to get them out of there! I never kept my betta in a little bowl, but I did use a one gallon aquarium until I got a 10 gallon. She loved the new tank!

Yeah, someday I'll get another one. I can't right now because I already have two aquariums that I need to clean more often than I actually do , so I wouldn't feel right having another aquarium. Plus, I don't really have room right now. But I know I will someday! If I didn't have these fish...

Yeah, I think so. She would rest at the bottom of her aquarium and when I came into the room, she got up and starting swimming around, so I think she liked people. She did seem kinda bored sometimes, but I suppose it's hard to tell if a fish is bored LOL.

Oh, ok. I don't remember how many were there. It was about ...... eight years ago, maybe. I usually research as much as possible before I get a pet, but there wasn't that much I found about bettas! I should have done, more, though. I hope she didn't suffer too much from my lack of knowledge!
