Thats great that he is still able to eat and drink. If he has an injury it may take a while for it to heal. Keep an eye on him and make sure he isnt suffering

I would imagine traumatized and possibly injured. Chickens do alot of thrashing around trying to get free if they get stuck i would keep him in a kennel for the night and see how he is in the morning. Make sure he can eat and drink in the morning. May very well be injured
