lol, no worries, she is very cute and a great mom
luckily all the pullets he gave away were mutts, so no real loss, but now i have a bunch of cockerels that need to go preferably before they start fighting
the call eggs were all green hued, and a mutt silkie flew into their enclosure and laid eggs with the ducks, calls lay chicken sized eggs
and so when i got the call eggs 2 were actually chicken eggs LOL, they hatched my daughter named them Carrot and Tomato. Tomato is called tommy, and carrot...
call babies and their hatchmate tomatoe (not the spitz in the back but the silkie mutt cockerel in the front)
these were taken sunday 1/29
and here is my broody girl with her babies 1/13
and her with them on 1/26
sorry the picture wont turn for some reason
ok, so i attempted to take pics this morning i clicked then my phone popped up and said
"Cant capture image, memory full"
i hate this phone, for multiple reasons
they are highly duck-like
they love to make a mess of the water, and are very picky about their food
it was so cold last week that the water was freezing to the feathers around their faces
i will try to get some new pics :)
LOL
originally #5 was going to be named by my daughters class, she went into daycare and told them that she was going to bring them in and we had an unnamed chick, and THEY could name it
when she came home from school she had decided that #5 was now ginger and the class was NOT allowed to...
Left
Right
Left I'm pretty sure is a pastel(apricot) and right might be blue dusky (ish), lol. I *think* that's the odd blue color we've gotten a couple of. Looks blue dusky but darker shaded.
3
And 4
#3 is a blue fawn and #4 looks like a blue pied,
lastly #5
#5...
