Yes you can but I have found out it does not get them as clean as detergent. Probably because it does not have a wringer thingy in it. So I decided to use up my batch just for bedsheets and towels in HOT water cycle and be done with it. It would leave clumps in the folds so I won't be making...
I usually pour vinegar in the bleach slot in the front load HE washer.
Do you guys put the liquid in the dispenser OR do you put it on a hand towel with the dirty clothes?
Running low on my Tide detergent! I have plenty of those Fels soaps and will be going back to making homemade detergent. I will try making those liquid soap and see how it comes out. Hopefully not too liquidity.
I don't have a mixer or large containers but a five gal bucket. Wish me luck!

I had no issues with it on my old washer but with the new HE washer, the store clerk told me not to use it because it would rust or disable the components in the washer. So I went back to using Tide HE detergents.
I often wondered about that too...waiting for answers on that too!
