Thank you. This is very helpful. I’ve always wondered how this works. I have all different breeds, so they I guess we’ll be okay for a bit. I like having a small flock and don’t intent to do a lot of breeding, but wanted to do it safely.
So I have another question for in the future... and I hope it's not a dumb question... but do I need to be concerned about future inbreeding within my flock as my hatched chicks mature? Either between the papa roo and his daughters or amongst siblings?

I will add a small board across the front of the box when it gets closer to hatch time to make it a little safer as @sourland...
