    After two very scary asthma attacks, I finally gave up on denial and had allergy skin testing done. The best thing ever! Showed me what to avoid, and where to be careful, and made things much better. That was many years ago, and I'd highly recommend having the testing done. Mary

    Get a referral to a pulmonologist or an asthma specialist. Get meds to help! It's not a minor problem! I use a steroid inhaler daily, and have my bail-out inhaler in my pocket ALL the time. I'm not giving up on things that are enjoyable, but still take care of myself. An actual asthma...

    I have a built- in vacuum, so no dust circulates when it's running in the house. No carpet, nearly no curtains, washing stuff often. It pays off in better happier lungs! A N95 face mask will protect you when working in the coop, too. Mary

    Visit your doctor SOON!!! Get xrays, and get answers. Mention the chickens, and the dust, and get answers. I've got asthma, and have to be careful about dust of any sort, and don't raise chicks in the house, because of the dust. It's time for a doctor visit. Mary
