I think it's probably easiest when they're sexually mature...but with Chinese geese, you will probably be able to visually sex them prior to that point.

S/he'll be ripping that grass up like a pro in no time at all. They're hardwired to eat grass, and it shows. 😊

You may want to wait until the geese are older to vent sex them, you may find it easier.

Geese are generally not known for their gracefulness, though they do become more coordinated as they grow older. Imagine that you were wearing flippers on your feet - you see the challenge. ;)
