How hot is hot for you in NC? Great idea to find hatcheries in hot climates!

Oh if and when we do it will be from a hatchery. We went the TSC route this time and learned some lessons haha.

Do you or @U_Stormcrow or anyone else in the panhandle type climate have (or had) Australops? Reading that they aren’t super heat hardy but then I see posts here saying otherwise.

I had no idea about the comb! Very interesting. They’ve all been rolling around in the sand and laying flat in the ditches they make. Thankfully they have tons of shade.

Thanks for the experience! Also in the panhandle here. 110 heat index yesterday. I’m sweating just thinking about stepping outside haha. Wyan would be mostly for looking at. They’re so pretty. I’ll make sure to always have some better layers in the bunch.
