I let my girls out of the roost into the coop where there's only layer pellets available for an hour before I let the free range in the yard.
Just had eggs for breakfast and had my first 2 double yolkers
She's laid 2 normal eggs since and has returned to normal behaviour
I'm guessing it was raging hormones like you girls are prone too :P
Thanks anyway :)
I have fake rubber eggs in the nesting box.
Blue, the poor girl who is laying soft shelled eggs is having a hard time of it. She is trying to stay away from the others and as soon as she lays her soft egg the other three go for it.
She is very lethargic as well
Got my first 2 eggs today, ones a normal egg laid in the coop the other is a soft shell laid in the yard. There's a load of yolk on the dirt where it was but when I've opened it up the yolk is intact....... Does this mean there was a third egg they've eaten it (no sign of a shell)
