I don't raise cows but I can see that some areas have so much less in the way of grass. I'm not a cow person but down here in the mountains they let them go in the summer to graze. so I'm assuming there just eating grass , weeds and maybe perennial type plants and not munching on woody shrubs...
I'm at 3400 ft east of Placerville ( about a hour east of Sacramento ) so far this rain season we have had snow fall 8 times though it's stuck only 4 ( 1" then 2" 6" then 2" ) it snowed 6 inches on Xmas eve and stuck till last Sunday night. We so far have had 23" of rain up here
I agree its like anything else. No roosters do to the Sport " which will not be named here " well that doesn't stop the sport.
People just bring in the roosters from a few miles down the road.
Or gun control. Banning guns does not keep people from shooting people since many times those guns are...

Hi Guy no snow though it was chilly and we had about a inch of rain, grass is growing. Pleasant valley down below me had there first freeze yesterday am. I'm on a ridge which kept us a little milder in the am though our hi was lower a few degrees

over 150 residential...
no i am about 6 miles as a crow flies south of it. so we are safe. Our community has taken a hit though. we had another big one 8 miles south of here a few months back.
can not wait for the rain ( hopefully we get some soon)
