Here is my coop and run with the prefab coop inside. All facing south. Under the coop is a great place for them to hide, Now the rest of the year is shady all around and the chickens do move with the shade. They were under the cherry tree when I took the pick. My girls were you last year and I did mist them on the smallest setting...they didn't like it. I have added an OVEReasy coup and thought about using the mister in the roof to cool the inside where they lay and roost. The shade under it will be perfect.
