Half the people say definitely cockerals, the other half say definitely pullets. I guess I'll have to wait til they either start to crow, or lay an egg! 😆
Final update..... I put them in with the big chickens and roosters and the roosters are trying to get busy with both of them. I guess that settles it. They must be females!
Update! Now they are 2 months old. I tried to get pictures of their feathers since I was told that's a way to tell at this age. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hello, I'm back with another question about some chicks that hatched this morning from my barred olive egger. Is this considered a dot that would belong to a male that comes from a barred hen? Dad is not barred.
Thanks. I guess since the large white one and the black one have a comb like their fathers, while the spotted one has a regular comb, maybe that's throwing me off. I guess I'll have to wait a few more weeks.
The really bright white one is significantly larger, and has been since hatching. That one and the black one have gotten really red on the combs and waddles this past week. The painted one has a different comb than the other two. I wish I knew who each one's mom is. Attached picture is of their...
These were born January 16th and I think they're roosters. Just here to verify before I get rid of them. They are from my F4 Olive Egger rooster and various hens. Pics 2 and 3 are the same rooster, and pics 4 and 5 are also of the same. 3 birds total.
