So funny, some of the Marans have a heavy bloom, the eggs almost look plum colored compared to the other Browns. Rarely, I get more of a paler pink egg, but that's surprise when it happens, still no clue who sneaks that one in. I suspect it's one of the mixed breed hens, but they're not talkin.

I have an EE that's 7 & she still lays, only 1 big blue egg per week but hey, laying is laying, very gorgeous blue, too, that's her big one on the end.
