Unfortunately the poor baby has just passed away. She was doing wonderful today so we put her outside with the others, she was still doing great, she was interacting with the others (a little mean, but they always picked on her lol). We went to go lock up for the night and noticed her sitting in...
do we put that in with her medicine or in a separate bowl? its 6pm so we are putting her to bed now (making it dark in here and getting her area to be nighttimey, so we should probably wait until tomorrow.
She is doing great though! She gained TWO pounds during this whole ordeal! She is now...

Is this the vitamins that we should get for the chickens after completing the medicine?
She is doing so much better now that we have her on the correct treatment!! She is alert, has both eyes open, comb is getting good color in it, was standing, cleaning herself, and is making chicken noises!!
no he gave us Ronidazole 400mg packet. Said to treat her for 3 days with it in the water and too treat all the other birds as well, and to not eat any eggs for atleast a week.
I hope that this makes her better.
Kathy - We brought a fecal sample to the vets this morning he said that she has trichomoniasis. He gave us medicine and we are starting treatment. Thank you for all your help!
She is now very quietly making a little sound when she breaths out. Almost like when you have a cold and your nose is getting stuffy and it whistles when you breath out it...that sounds about like what she is doing..only when she is laying down though.
She is up eating and drinking right now...
Is there something else besides just her chicken food we should be feeding her? She is eating Dumor Grower/finisher. Someone suggested to give her raw and cooked veggie greens. Should we wait until she is stronger to feed her anything besides her food?
As far as I know she wasn't. We haven't vaccinated anything. We got them at a week old from a local lady (no idea who she is so I can't contact her).
She seems to be doing a bit better today. She is standing, still not sturdy on her legs and keeping her head tucked in and her tail down. BUT...
I was also thinking, I don't know if this matters or not...She is has always been much smaller then the other chickens, they are all the same age maybe a day or two off, we got them at a week old. Compared to the other girls her comb is very small and she hasn't started laying yet. Also - when...
Thank you!! Will start treating in an hour or so! Do we need to treat the rest of the girls? We have 3 more in the coop she is from and one that free ranges.
