    Looking to Confirm Breeds

Yes! I did not want one, but I must say, he/she is growing on me! My daughter picked it out and had to have it. She's 4, how can you say no? Hahaha. My brother had some variety of bantams and his were SO mean, especially the rooster, I shouldn't make sweeping generalizations of all bantams, but...

They are stunning! Do you have Barred Rocks or Dominques in there also? I LOVE them! How is your flock doing with the snow? We have been getting snow all day, of course the babies are still in the house.

They are all beautiful! I agree, Mrs Potts looks the same but lighter. Zaxbys legs are slate colored. He/she truly is a mystery! Zaxby also has a brownish spot on top of the head

I got them from a lady who does it for fun. Not a breeder. She showed us all her adults. She said she had lavender orps, splash orps, white orps, americaunas (but I guess actually Easter Eggers), silkies, and some other bantam varieties but we weren't interested in bantams so we didn't pay much...

Ok, Mrs Potts and Beauty appear to have a single comb (I'm new to this) and Zaxbys looks more flat to me and pea like. Also, Zaxbys wing feathers are coming in bright white. I'll attached comb photos of the 3.[/IMG][/IMG]

What a beautiful Lavender! Is it a hen or rooster? Yours is way more brilliantly colored than Mrs. Potts. And you are right, Beauty and Zaxby look different. I'll check the combs real quick on those two.

Awe! Thank you! He/she is so sweet! And so tiny compared to the others. My daughter picked it and had to have it, hahaha.

Thank you for the info. I was mostly excited for colored eggs for my kids, so Easter Eggers sound like they will be great too. Are there specific varieties/breeds of Easter Eggers? Or do they all look different?

I have 7 new chicks. They will be 3 weeks on Sunday. I believe I have 2 Lavender Orpingtons, 1 White Orpington, 3 Americaunas, and 1 Silkie. Is this what I have? Any indications of gender at this point? Zaxby (has light brownish tint on top of head) White Orpington? Brownie, Americauna...
