Breeder of rose combed Rhode Island Whites?

What I can see of it looks like it probably is. I can't see its legs in the pic or its comb very well, but if it's a Rhode Island White, it will have yellow legs and a rose comb.

Breeder of rose combed Rhode Island Whites?

I have no idea whether anyone in the APA is breeding them. I read the article about the APA discussing the admission of them since 2010 on a link that one of the other members posted on another thread some time back.

Some hatcheries like Strombergs actually breed single comb RIWs. Of course they don't meet APA standards.

Hopefully Walt Leonard is wrong on that one. Chairmen of the APA Standard Committee have been wrong before breeds have been admitted to the APA that they opposed and probably never though would be admitted. Walt has no way of knowing what the subsequent generation that follows him will do.

Breeder of rose combed Rhode Island Whites?

The APA doesn't currently recognize the single comb RIW, but they've been seriously discussing the admission of them since 2010, so I think it's just a matter of time before they will admit them to the standard.

Sand Hill Preservation Center breeds and sells rose comb Rhode Island Whites. They are probably sold out for this year, but you should be able to get them next spring. Their website is http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/index.html. Good luck in getting your rose comb RIWs.
