Yes give them some nice bedding and golf balls hopefully they will get the idea. My ducks love to lay their eggs right on the bedding.

Try leaving them longer in the morning just to see if they will lay inside. Or let them out in the morning and follow from a distance to see if they have a hiding place.

Where are they sleeping? If you don’t put them up locked up you’ll not have them long.
