Ok, I tried the yogurt this morning. It is better than the store stuff, but I'm not sure that it's going to be big around here. I put some on the freezer, and I liked it better when it was really really cold and half frozen. I'll see what dh says after lunch.

I might try that. The only yogurt I have liked in the past has been the custard style, which was really thick. But then our store stopped selling it. This stuff isn't runny or anything, about like puddening before it completly sets.

Ok, I made it and it is now sitting in the cooler with some mason jars filled iwth hot water. It not as thick as I thought it would be, but it's not runny or anything. We'll have some for dessert with homemade strawberry jam. I'll post tomorrow about how it tastes

Gald to hear that yours turned out. I go grocery shopping on Monday nad will pick up the milk then. Hubby looked at me a little weird when I said I was going to make yogurt then shrugged his shoulders and said he'd try some too Neither ones of us likes it from the store, but I know how good...

The next time I do a major grocery stop, I am going to stop at a local dairy( well, local by texas standards, 45 mins away,lol) where they sell fresh organic milk. It's raw too I believe. I have one jar of apricot jam and two strawberry left in my pantry from my last batch. Can't wait to try it!
