Hmm? I don't know where someone says 8 weeks to add chicks. Very bad idea! It was a instant war zone. My idea is as soon the chicks gets the same size as the hen. Try again. I have enough space in my coop and hopefully they will leave each other alone.

I built a brooder under my nesting box in the coop. Mine are only 4 weeks old. I got one hen wants to peck at them. I have hardware cloth so the beak doesn't touch them. Guess let this run its course and hope the hen just give up.
