The turkeys this year won't fit into the turkey fryer, but I am going to try one of the over-sized Cornish Cross chickens. I'll have to cut the turkey into parts and fry just a thigh.
A down side to the turkey fryer is that all that duck fat went into the cooking oil. Normally, I roast the ducks and save all that duck fat for cooking and making sausage.
