    Yep, I hatched two others in the incubator and my broody silkie hen hatched five for me. Lots of little fuzzy butts!

    Doing okay :) It has stopped bleeding and it seems to be drying up. She's now in the brooder with the other chick that hatched at the same time as her. She'll have (hopefully) two more half siblings in with her by tomorrow. She's a silkie, btw ;) Hoping to get a showgirl out of the other two...

    She can walk. I have her in a little paper towel cup in the incubator - I didn't want her dragging it all over the hardware cloth. It seems to just be spotting now.

    It's bleeding a little still - should I try to stop the bleeding or will it dry out on its own?

    This is my first time hatching chicks and very first chick hatched with a problem :( Is this a partially unabsorbed yolk sac? If so what do I do about it?
