    @casportpony I screwed up so badly :( This morning her water cup was nearly empty, which means she drank over 100 ml before I woke up. So I went straight for the pulverized chick crumble, but it kept clogging up in the syringe while I was tubing her. I tried blending the crumble more but it kept...

    Wow, 8" is a lot farther than I expected. She was probably regurgitating because the tube was not all the way in. She's drinking quite a bit of water (with rooster booster and sugar in it) on her own. I added about 100 ml to her water cup when i topped it up. I Just went into her hospital room...

    Shoot, good point! I was so worried about getting her securely wrapped up that I might have been putting pressure on her crop! About how many inches is "all the way into the crop"? I sort of estimated 4", but it is hard to tell because she is hunched down with her neck pulled in.

    Sort of. I didn't have the right supplies :(. I managed to get 30mm aquarium tubing, but could only find 60ml lur-lock syringes. And I couldn't find the Kaytee baby bird food at any feed store! Tried grinding up chick crumble, but it wouldn't go through the syringe. I didn't know what to do, so...

    @casportpony if we only have a small syringe and need to stop and switch syringes in the middle, is there a risk of air bubbles getting into the tube? i'm worried i'll push an air bubble into a chicken's crop.
