    Shell-less eggs or something else?

Just coming back to put a close to Cadbury's saga. This morning when I went out to clean/feed/collect eggs, I saw there was a lot of blood on the poop board/roost. I checked everyone over and couldn't find any injuries. Cadbury's back end around her vent was totally plucked clean of feathers...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

The video in that article was very very helpful this morning. Med delivery was pretty much uneventful this morning! Thank you!

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

Fecal came back with no parasites. I've tried a few things to get meds into her, soaked it into a couple pieces of bread and stuffed those down her like a pill. It took a loooot of bread to soak up all the liquid tho. Tried soaking her food pellets in warm water to make an oatmeal like...

@Eggcessive Any good tips on how to get 1.4 ml of liquid into a chicken twice a day? I kind of wish they had given me pills.

Cadbury had an xray, no eggs seen in her. She provided a poop sample in her carrier that they’ll test for parasites and she’s coming home with metronidazole.

I tried scrambled egg. She ate a bit but didnt seem too crazy about it and didnt even bother to eat it all. The only thing I've found that she really really really likes is cracked corn. I might try soaking some pellets to make a mush and see if she likes that.

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

Cadbury is still with us. She was very lethargic and not much interested in eating or drinking for a couple days. Today I came home from work and she was up walking around in her solitary confinement pen. Its the first time I've seen her out of the little coop since I moved her to it. She was...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

I never tore down their little grow out coop/pen. Cadbury is bedded down in there with some thick shavings and food and water within easy reach. It's in sight of the rest of the girls' run.

I have a feeling I'm going to end up being forced to cull her. I went to check them late morning and someone else had been going after Cadbury's comb. I got the bleeding stopped, she didn't even really fight me. I swapped her out with the original bully so she could be separated. No interest in...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

I'm back with this same chicken. Not sure what was going on originally, but am doubting it was a shell-less egg now. She had been fine after a week or so of supplimenting calcium citrate (if it even helped or it was just a coincidence). Cadbury will be a year old in May and she has not laid a...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

This is Cadbury about a month ago. I checked on her a little bit ago and she's looking less scrunched up and puffed up. She was roosted up with the rest of the flock and settled in for the night. Hoping the calcium helps and it was just the fact that her flockmates were chasing her off the...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

I haven't seen evidence of a shell membrane. Its possible she passed it while I wasn't there and the others ate it. I'll keep giving her the calcium citrate and I'll see about getting her the amoxicillin. And try to get my husband to help give it. I have a severe allergy to all of the -cillins...

    Shell-less eggs or something else?

I have a 7-8 month old Barnevelder girl that from day one seemed to have GI issues. I was constantly cleaning her butt as a chick. As a pullet she'd occasionally have some runny poo and poo stuck to her butt fluff but usually took care of it herself and it was an intermittent issue. She's also...
