    Although it is unusual that she has not started laying yet, it is not unheard of. I'm not sure how the weather is where you are but my Polish haven't laid since September and my last years hatch girls( June) have not laid an egg yet. it has been pretty cold here and i do not artificially light...

    Well, they are really hard to tell at this age and i can only see the one on the right side very well. i have noticed that the pullets have the shorter, " boxier" tails. which the one on the right has. i cannot see the tail of the one on the left but you can check and see if it looks the same or...

    Standard size WC Blacks do not come in Bearded. you can get them in Bantam size or laced birds. While your roo is definitely a handsome boy, he is not a real good representer of the laced breed. he should have all of his feathers black with the lacing on each. if you are just looking to make up...

    thankyou for your replies. i know what you guys are saying, but the problem for him is not the feathers covering his eyes. it is actually a " flap of skin" that has flopped over his eye. when i pull his crest back you can see how the skin folds on that side and the other side looks normal. weird huh

    This is my almost year old Standard WCB roo " Roosifer". on the right side of his head his topknot over laps his eye. i have cut the feathers to relieve some of the weight . has anyone else had this?
