    Well I am no expert. My coop has been up a mere week. But I really suggest linoleum flooring. I think its much easier to clean. And you can always find some for free on craigslist or find a remnant at a flooring store. I was going to do linoleum poop boards. But didn't enough at the time...

    All I have is the powder, for the chickens. I can't imagine using it for a litter box! I think the granules would be better, anyway! I might look into that soon.

    I don't really have enough experience to offer advice. My general attitude is "lets see what happens". But after a month, maybe you might need to do another roost?

    After finding this thread 2 months ago, when we first got our chicks; we have finished our coop. Here is the interior picture of it. Of course the first night, the girls all slept huddled on the floor...but we will work on that.

    Question for those who have followed this design. We are building a 4x8 coop. My plan is to build a poop board at one end. So the board would be 4 feet long and 2 feet deep, with a 4 roost going right down the middle. We have 6 chickens and everyone says I need 6 feet of roost. Sooo...

    OH and forgot to add...we are getting an indoor kitten soon so the PDZ will be used for her litterbox as well.
