Not for wire! It even says on them “fur Plastik”. So yeah you can use regular wire cutters for zip ties, but these cutters are only for plastic, and they cut them truly flush.
I use zip ties for everything too. I buy large bags of them in every size. My hubby got me a little zip tie cutter that will trim them flush so that nothing sharp sticks out.
I am very careful about picking up all cut ends, broken ties, etc, so there isn’t any ‘trash’ on the ground.
My husband and I went out w the tractor and brought back a pile of rotting logs for 4 new beds we will be setting up. This 11” high bed will be for strawberries. If I fill it with the logs, will it settle too much and need soil on top of the berry plants? How would that work? Can you add...
I would have not put in near as much old branches had I not seen that video this morning, nor did I know how to move the old beds, so thanks, it really helped.
That bed is just 2’ wide X 6’ long, and 17” high. And we can pick tomatoes from outside the fence as well. The fence is around the whole garden area to keep armadillos and rabbits out.
The video showed me how to move one of the pre-existing beds, which we will use elsewhere, and in its place went a larger one today.
First put in rotten branches then the soil from the old bed, then all the compost we’ve made over the summer and there were a few bags of soil we bought on sale...
