    I don't know what your night temperatures are ....it may be a good idea if the night is not warm to put him under a heat lamp...he needs to conserve his energy for healing right now. You could try adding some sugar to his water,,offer him some scrambled egg,,,it may be a good idea to trim...

    Likely to be a hawk...cats would not normally attack a chicken of such age being 13 weeks he is not a young chick... you must be distraught at this happening when you are looking after the chickens of a friend...you are doing a wonderful act here...if he survives it will be due to your care...

    As you will know Silkies are susceptible to head injuries...if their head is pecked..if he has no injuries to his head that may be causing the eye swelling I would just take it that bruising and pecking to his facial area are what has caused the swelling..if he is sleeping then let him rest for...

    Poor soul..he is looking depressed and in shock... maybe apply a little diluted betadine/iodine to his wounds and leave him in a darkened area..he may well be feeling better tomorrow...I would not at this stage try force feeding him...he needs to be peaceful right now and to try and force feed...
