Okay, thank you! That worked great, and I am sure she is much happier without that dried up string following her everywhere she goes! :)

My chicks hatched on the eclipse day, and one still had her umbilical cord attached. It is 5 days later and she is still walking around with it dried up and dragging behind her. The other chicks seem to be leaving it alone, but should I do something at this point? Any advice is appreciated!
