Update: Lacey is a trooper! I was able to remove almost all of the dead tissue build up yesterday, and today the prolapse is completely reattached. I’m so proud of my girl! Gave her a soak today to clean up the leftover yuck on her rear, then calcium, and anti inflammatory/antibiotic herbs...

I think I do have mineral oil, I’ll double check. Definitely have coconut oil.

Okay good, that makes me feel better. I guess I won’t worry about it too much then.

That’s about what I’ve been doing, except I haven’t been as patient with the 15 minutes first. She will tolerate me rubbing it and trying to pull the build up off, just don’t want to irritate it took much. I can pull corners up and some chunks will peel up, but some pieces are pretty stuck...

Update: Yesterday I thought the mayer was just build up, but today I’m not so sure. Just got finished soaking Lacey, and trying to remove the layers. Not much success. The layers didn’t want to come off, and when I tried to remove the yellow parts it bled a bit. What do I do from here? The...

Update: Lacey is still doing well. Our sitter did a great job with the minimal instruction and experience she has with chickens, but definitely some downfalls. I had to soak her for a hot minute yesterday to remove a layer or two of build up. It was pretty nasty. I got about half of it peeled...

Update: Got back this afternoon and Lacey is doing very well! I didn’t get a good look since we had a lot do unpacking to do, but the prolapse has shrunk, and she’s just as spunky as ever. I’ll give her a good soak tomorrow and a real look over, but I’m really happy with how she’s doing compared...
