Calcium binds with it and several other drugs (tetracycline, too, I think), so they aren't supposed to be given together. Some studies say that the same can happen when one uses hard water. Since she said she wasn't going to give the Baytril, I saw no reason to explain the calcium thing...
The dose I shoot for is ~50mg per pound.
How many mg are the baytril pills and how much does your hen weigh? You can always get more Baytril on Friday when you seen the vet.

I agree... Might be a good idea to start her on an antibiotic and some calcium, just make sure you give them several hours apart as many drugs should not be given with calcium. Can you take her to a vet?
