Chickens don't eat eggs as long as they don't associate the shape of the egg with food! As long as it doesn't look like an egg there should be no problem!

I have had chickens for years it is interesting that they will eat coins. stones, marbles, buttons and anything else they find. Yet people still question if food scraps will hurt them. LOL

Keep in mind that most of what you get is opinion not fact. re: I use horizontal watering nipples. My friend says he will not because they are not natural. True chickens do not have nipples. The fact is they are cleaner and healthier than other type watering systems.
