Hey everyone! I was just wondering how many people have bought chicks out of the extra bin at Meyer hatchery. How many chicks were available in the bin when you went? What were the breeds that were available? How hard was in to find the breeds that you were looking for in the bin? Thanks!
I saw a few posts back that egg skelters were on sale somewhere. Who is selling them and are they still on sale? Now that all of my girls are laying, I would love to get one. Thanks!
I love my Easter Egger's eggs! It is exciting every time she lays an egg because her eggs are a defferent shade every time! So far her eggs have been olive green, lime green, green with brown spots, and bluish green.
I also love my Australorp's eggs! They are a pretty dark brown color. Right...
That was me! Here is the picture so you don't have to look for it. Poppy is my Splash Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Like RoostersCrow,HensDeliver! said she has a single comb.
My Easter Egger started laying! She is 23 weeks old! The picture doesn't do it justice. It is a pretty olive color with brown spots. The brown egg on the bottom is from my Barred Rock hen.
My Black Australorp laid her first egg today! She is 22 weeks old. My Easter Egger was also in the nestboxes today scratching around. No eggs from her so far but she is getting really close!
My Blue Andalusian is really impressing me with her laying. She is laying 4-5 eggs a week even though...
Yay! I can't wait until my Easter Egger starts to lay.
So far my Blue Andalusian that laid her first egg on Christmas day is the only Meyer girl who is laying so far. I am very happy with her laying. Despite the cold she is laying as well as my Barred Rock that is a month older then her!
