After reading about a lot of coop and run designs, I decided to add an extra separate 4'x10' run and small coop. It seems important to be able to occasionally separate a chicken or two if there are problems or I need to introduce a new bird into the flock. I figured it was better to do it now...
It's only been dark for an hour and a half, my wife has asked me to check on the chicks in the coop 3 times already lol. It's gonna be a long, anxious night! First night away from mommy haha.
Thanks for the tips on predator proofing. I am going to work on that next.
Finished putting the walls and roof on today, filled it with pine shavings and my chickies seemed to like it, they spent a bit of time throwing shavings and playing before heading back out into the run.

That was kinda the idea, the fenced run is really an extension of the coop, that's where the food and water is. As hot as it gets here I doubt they will want to sleep in it much, but I figured I should give them the option.
That's really all I am planning on having, and right now I am looking at giving away most of my flock as the get a little older, I don't need 6 roosters (bad luck with straightrun batches lol)
