It looks like it could work. It doesn't say if the dust is removed, but it does have the oil in it and no molasses. Buy a bag and see what it looks like.

Ha ha That will work just fine. It's just dustier, that's all. Your chickens will love scratching in it! It stays nice and dry and smells great. It is heat treated, so there is less opportunity for mold.....not that it's a problem at this time of year....lol I'm sure you will love your...

As an organic product, I am not familiar with it because I have not taken that step yet. I'm sure you can get more info from the website.

Wow. The shipping is expensive! I sure hope you like using it. Because the inside of my coop is so small, I have actually been able to make it last longer by just removing the poops with a pair of long tongs before stirring it up. If your coop is small like mine, give it a try. It will...

Hi Vinnie, I think those are fine if they don't have any molases in them. The only difference would be the dust. The Gold has the dust removed. I just did a bedding change last week. The hay works out very well for my small coop. One bag is enough to fill it. I have been using a long pair...

Aw, dang. I guess they are not a big enough company to be national. Keep searching. There must be something similar in your area.

Congrats on the new coop and chickens!!!!!! It's so exciting when you first start out. I hope you like the hay. I've been very pleased with it. Put it in there a few inches deep and turn it over every couple of days. I have been making mine last longer just by scooping the poops off the...

Your set up is fantastic! I have one recommendation though. Turn the 2 by 4 the other way so they are a little more comfortable sitting on it as well as being able to cover their feet well while sleeping. Winter is coming faster than we we care for. It will help keep their tootsies warm.

    experiment with bedding

Hi Vinnie, I have never really used a deep litter method, but if you put your hay in there deep and stir it up once a day, it will last a ong time.
