It looks like it could work. It doesn't say if the dust is removed, but it does have the oil in it and no molasses. Buy a bag and see what it looks like.

That will work just fine. It's just dustier, that's all. Your chickens will love scratching in it! It stays nice and dry and smells great. It is heat treated, so there is less opportunity for mold.....not that it's a problem at this time of year....lol

Your set up is fantastic! I have one recommendation though. Turn the 2 by 4 the other way so they are a little more comfortable sitting on it as well as being able to cover their feet well while sleeping. Winter is coming faster than we we care for. It will help keep their tootsies warm.
