That's interesting. I had a guinea chicken hybrid that did not hatch.

Not sure what happened but it looks deformed. I've opened many eggs and never seen the organs look like that. The beak and head are very strange. I had one that did not hatch once . It was alive at lockdown but small. When I opened it up after it died it had no head.

I think I should have tried that when I first saw the intestines starting to come out. Now they are bigger and red. I'm sure the damage is done. Plus I don't want it to suffer. Next time I should try to tie it off first then cut it from the legs and hope for the best. It's always sad but...

It's gotten much worse in a short time. It looks very inflamed now. I will probably cull it very soon. Not really how I wanted to start the new year.

Thanks! I just tied it off and cut it but I think I'm to late. It was moving around in the bator with the other chicks climbing on all the eggs and now it looks like it pulled out some intestines. Any chance they will suck back up?

Yes it is still attached to the naval area. It was wrapped tight around the feet. I managed to get the feet out but damaged it some. The chick was stiff on one side from drying out so I had to was it a bit in warm water. It's head is still very crusty but I don't want to stress it any...

My first just hatched. It was the second to pip. The first to pip still has not zipped. I cought it on a 25 minute video. Now how do I show it? I guess I have to put it on YouTube first. How do I do that?
