I agree! And it was supposed to be easy peasy, damn it! :barnie
I have no idea about the tail :idunnobut you might be right.
Your pullet is so pretty! โค๏ธ
I quit!!! ๐ How come that the "pullet" didn't show any signs of the male gender until... what... 9-10 weeks? ๐คฆ My 8-day-younger black Australorp males both have bigger combs (still small comparing to the "American version" ๐).
@maceleneo have yours developed a comb yet? Do you happen to know...
Today I noticed my pullet is reddening up and her comb seems to have grown. They will be 10 weeks in 2 days. It's not a he, is she? ๐คจ Last 2 photos together
Yeah, well, they grew together, were separated for about a week and back together now, but it's just the black Australorp males who are that mean. The males aren't staying, but I was planning to keep them for another month or so. But they'll go od it doesn't stop.
The white ones are beautiful birds. Got some photos today - so this is the pullet (her comb or wattles look red im some photos but it's just my camera. Last 3 are of both of them
Sorry ๐
They are 8 weeks now :) i think it's a he although very laid back comparing to the black Australorp brothers who are 8 days younger. Last photo is of him with the pullet sister
An update after a week - its comb development seems to have stopped and it is still the same yellow-orange-pink colour (looks reddish because of the light in some photos). The wattles have grown stightly but not much and they are still light pink. I think it's a she ๐ Is it still possible that...
Oh, I wish she was ๐๐๐ I cannot keep roos ๐
You're not wrong. The comb... And it is not the case of the last few days only - it started growing early. That's why I decided it was a male. Now I'm not that sure. Time will tell ๐
I'm in love with them. So beautiful. Funny thing is, they meant to...
Thank you ๐ I've been reading like crazy (Australorps threads) and was convinced that I was becoming an expert ๐คฃ well, it doesn't work when it comes to your own chicks ๐
Here we go, the usual question ๐
I think I have an abnormal roo or an abnormal pullet ๐ I know, i know, it's too early to tell ๐
I'm not expecting anybody to be sure so lets just play a guessing game ๐ I will do some updates because i absolutely hate threads with no ending ๐
Big comb, slightly...
