Also Leeway's does chicks in the spring like most places.

They don't have their feed shelved, so it helps to chat with the guys at the register if you don't know what feed you want. Their chicken accessories are in the back right corner. It's not much, but the essentials are there.

I have a bowl raised up on a ½ cinder block. It's just tall enough that they can get in, but short enough that they can get their bills in and submerged.

I'm just over the border in RI, and we have them here. My mom lives in south county ri and has encountered them on the bike path. I think it's just a matter of how rural things are where you are.

There's a store in providence that should have pullets soon/now? Cluck! Is owned by a woman who has a small farm in the state and iirc she sells her pullets. I don't know how far away PVD would be for you, but it's close enough to mass that I feel it's worth bringing it up.
