Thank u so much for the reply, well I've got two places I can either put the brooder Box, a large cupboard under the stairs which has light, or in a caravan where the temperature drops frequently x
Do you know what. I'm going to get a brooder plate. I know they were designed for chicks and they are reliable. And they look cute too but the one question I can't find an answer to is how do you change the temperature?.
And instead of building a wooden brooder box would a cardboard box do? And...
That's good new, I don't like the idea of a lamp being on 24/7, would make me a bit scared of a fire, but a blankt wouldn't scare me too much, great thread btw thank u x
This might sound stupid but I've read somewhere on here about they don't need light all the time, so I was wondering what about an waterproof electric heat mat for dogs? Would that work Instead? (Mat rolled up like a tube shape? ) X
Ive read most of the 101 theard and im like....umm what,? Some of it is really confusing and some of it i kinda guessed anyway lol, the one question i do have is cant i leave the chicks in the incubator instead of a brooder box? Thats if all the chicks hatch the same ish time? Cuz its got heat...
