Now that this thread is back I still would like to know what the excepted measuring posture is. It just seems there is so much room for variation depending on the position of the bird. Anyone know? Thanks

Where do you measure the height of a chicken? Is it a bit like a horse at the top of the shoulder? Or is it the top of the head? If they are stretched to crow they would be quite tall. Just curious. there must be an accepted rule
