I've had plenty of chicks with the fuzz all stuck to their heads... it is fairly common. It does wear off and they start looking normal after a while. It's kinda hard to wash out but if you do I would say warm water makes all the difference haha

Aww poor eggie :( cracked eggs are fine unless they're leaking. If it leaks most likely germs will get in and interfere. If you look up the rarest parrot in the world they had a really badly cracked egg. Like SUPER bad! Our little accidents have nothing on that thing! They couldn't let it die...

I used scotch tape and used a few layers to make a good barrier without covering too much of the egg. It worked pretty well. But good luck to you! Hope your little biddie hatches :)

Tape it over so it won't loose humidity. O.0 I did that with mine and it survived to pip it started unzipping early when I dozed off (I tried to stay up all night to pull the tape off when it pipped) and unfortunately couldn't get around the tape :( but it did well keeping the chick from loosing...
