The nesting box hangs off the outside and the food and water will be in the lower section so that leaves all the space above for them. But I still think its a bit small. Thanks for the link, that's pretty neat.

Ok now the coop. I normally cover the open air base with blue tarp as you can see in the pics. I uncover it during the summer. The roosts are up towards the roof, but they are in line with the small vent holes which allows cold air to blow in and on the chickens. That can't be good. Can I lower...
