My girls are all Rhode Island Reds - about 35 weeks old. They've been laying since they were 20 weeks old & I'm getting 6-8 eggs per days from 8 of them.
My girls really enjoyed my winter garden - broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages. The broccoli did really well this year, and only stopped producing side shoots when the weather started turning warm.
They also ate quite a bit of mustard & collard greens. Now, it's just too hot to grow any greens, so...
I grew lot of broccoli this past winter & when complete, I hung the entire plant in the run for the girls. They really loved it.
