The bird in the first pic was solitary, but only 30 yards or so from the birds in the other pic. It appeared twice the size of the Canada geese. One of my coworkers thinks it's an escaped domestic goose. I'll bring binoculars next time.

Here is a snow goose who lives with the Canada geese near my workplace on Hood Canal.

If I see it again, I will. Mostly I see blue herons, Canada geese, various hawks and an owl occasionally.

Hi, I'm new on this thread. I took this photo (sorry for poor quality) at Hood Canal in WA state. I'm calling it the Loch Ness goose. Any ideas what breed it is? Canada goose in foreground.
