I can't critique anything, because I am trying to learn myself! I would appreciate ANY and ALL feedback re these Marans I have. Suppose to be Splash and Birchen, from Davis line, and Black Copper from Wade Jeanne line. PLEASE don't honey coat it, I prefer honesty! They are 12 weeks old...

These are 12 week olds ... Is this, "squirrel's tail?" And this, what is with this big ol' white feather here? Are these both culls at this age, or do I wait it out?

This is probably a stupid question ... but, ... is the eye color evident when hatched, or does it change? And, with combs, can you count the points as early as you see them erupting, or does that change?

I love this thread. I like that everyone can speak candidly without being offensive. I sure hope when my birds are older that you will ALL give me honest feedback. I don't appreciate candy coating, as I prefer honest critiques. *off to go see if the darn birds have grown some more!*
