I heard after their first molt the face gets more white. That is why it is recommended you don't show them until after their first molt. Eleanor hasn't had her first molt yet, so I don't know.
Here is a pic of Eleanor, our White Faced Black Spanish. She is just under 12 months old. She has tiny spurs.
For comparison purposes, they are the same size as the spurs on Lady Bird, our Golden Penciled Hamburg. Both are the same age.
I wouldn't worry about it. Our White Faced Black Spanish girl is just under 1 year old. She has small spurs. I've checked my pictures of her but don't have a clear recent pic showing them. I'll try and get you a pic, if you think it would help.
