The thing about barred rocks is that they can be sexed with 90%+ accuracy on hatch day. It gets more difficult as time goes on, until they develop darker/lighter shades for male/female.
Right now I'd say with relative certainty that chick #1 is a female based on dark leg pigment. Hard to say...
